Transition with Justice Sabbatical Award

Movement Support Grant

$65,000

1 award per calendar year

Non-profit directors of frontline organizations dedicate their lives and careers to achieving healthier communities. These leaders are anchors of community support for staff members and many others, while leading emotionally taxing advocacy campaigns and often holding multiple jobs. CFF launched the Transition with Justice sabbatical project so that non-profit directors with exemplary records of service can avoid burn-out and take time to rest and rejuvenate.

The Transition with Justice Sabbatical awards $65,000 to a non-profit director and their organization to support a six month sabbatical.

Eligibility

  • Organizations and leaders currently funded by CFF through any of its other Movement Support Programs
  • Organizations and leaders must begin planning for sabbatical and in communication with CFF staff at least 1 year in advance

Awardees also receive

  • Up to $10,000 in coaching and consulting services for the recipient’s non-profit agency

  • Up to $5,000 for coaching for the leader while they are on their sabbatical for personal growth, rest, and goal-setting

How to Apply

Application is by invitation only. Invited groups will submit an application for review by CFF staff.
